Appointments

Access the online appointment system

Consultations are by appointment and can be booked either in person, by telephone or sign up for online services using one of the following links https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/the-nhs-app/  https://www.patientaccess.com or ask at reception for details.

We offer a limited number of appointments that can be booked  up to 2 weeks in advance (if you require a particular Doctor or can only attend at a certain time)  Patients using on-line access can avail themselves of this service at 0.00 am each weekday morning when  some GP appointments become free.

We now have a greater number of appointments available each day to book on the day.

Patients have the right to express a preferred doctor and whilst we endeavour to comply with this it is not always possible, particularly if they are booking "on the day"

Nurse and Health Care Assistant appointment times are between 07.30 and 17:45 but vary daily.

Telephone Advice

The doctors may in some cases be able to give advice over the telephone.  Your details will be noted and a doctor will contact you.  Please keep your telephone numbers and addresses up to date.

GP Extended Access Service

As part of the new GP Extended Access service that launched on 1st October, additional appointments are now available at weekends and evenings outside our normal working hours. These are provided by other local GP practices: Old Swan Health Centre, Childwall Fiveways Neighbourhood Health Centre and Townsend Lane Neighbourhood Health Centre.

This service provides face to face consultations on weekday evenings from 4:00pm - 9:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am - 4:00pm and Sundays from 9:00am - 1:00pm. These are available following an initial telephone consultation that can be booked via contacting our reception on (0151) 295 3434.

Tuesday to Friday we offer a limited amount of extended access appointments for GP's, Nurses and Health Care Assistants available from 07.30.  Please check with reception if you need an early morning appointment.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. The high number of missed appointments results in patients having to wait longer for an appointment, please cancel if you cannot attend.
